Adaptation.

Adaptation.

Adaptation is such a weird concept, humans adapt so quickly. We adapt in groups, have you ever noticed how a person can act one on one compared to in a group. Have you noticed they catch onto what the group is saying/doing. Personally, I know people that are disrespectful and rude in groups but are some of the most down to earth people alone, where does this adaptation come from? I believe that people are afraid of being themselves in groups, its easier to go along than to have your own opinions, thoughts and actions. People feel comfortable and protected in those situations, why is it that people don't want to think for themselves, is it because they feel uncomfortable... and why is being uncomfortable such a bad thing? Personally I think its times when you feel comfortable that you should realize that you need to be somewhere else. If we never challenge ourselves how will we ever improve how will we ever get further and progress? Someone once told me that being a Christian is like a fish swimming up stream, i've came across this saying quite a lot lately. I agree it is, but not only being a Christian. I think that a lot of people that don't conform with society have to swim upstream. I began thinking about it this way.. When you reach the top of the stream your strong enough to remain there. But what happens if people carry you up the stream what happens when you reach the top... you get swept back to the bottom. Adaptation is not a horrible thing it just depends how we chose to adapt.
